LG is set to unveil CLOi, a line of three new robots, each specifically designed to perform different tasks to improve the operations of hotels, airports and supermarkets.

Designed to deliver meals and drinks to guests and customers, complete with a built-in sliding tray,  the Serving Robot has been created to improve the efficiency of service. The robot is able to deliver food and drinks non-stop throughout both the day and night, ensuring that no one is left waiting.

Secondly, the Porter Robert has been designed to deliver luggage to guests’ rooms, reducing the wait times for guests during their stay. The Porter Robot also has the capacity to manage express check-in and check-out service and take care of payment, allowing busy guests to hit the road as quickly as possible.

What’s more, LG’s third new robot is designed to help customers at the supermarket, informing them of the prices of products and directing them through the aisles.

These new LG robots have arrived hot on the heels of their predecessors, with the likes of the Airport Guide Robot and the Airport Cleaning Robot recently completing successful trial runs at Korea’s Incheon International Airport. The Lawn Mowing Robot and the Hub Robot also form part of the CLOi line, having just recently participated in a trial at one of Korea’s largest financial institutions, providing information and attending to customers at the bank’s branches. LG’s CLOi robots will be developed in parallel to ThinQ products, LG’s AI brand for consumer electronics and home appliances.
